Driver Requirements

We’re committed to providing riders with the safest and most professional experience.
To join the AAA Home Rides team, drivers must meet the following requirements:
Must be 21 years or older
Hold a valid U.S. driver’s license without negative points on Driving Record
Have at least 1 year of driving experience
Must pass a background check (criminal and motor vehicle record)
Must have a smartphone (iOS or Android) to use the AAA Home Ride Driver App
Provide proof of: Auto insurance
Vehicle registration
Valid inspection
Vehicle Requirements:
We want every ride to be smooth, safe, and reliable. All vehicles used for AAA Home Ride must meet the following standards:
Model year 2008 or newer
4-door vehicle in good condition (sedans, SUVs, minivans accepted)
No salvage titles or major body damage
Must pass a vehicle inspection (clean interior/exterior, functioning lights,
brakes, etc.)
Air conditioning and working seat belts in all passenger seats
No commercial branding or advertisements on the vehicle
Provided: AAA Decal and dashboard camera
Optional (but preferred):
Vehicles with hybrid or electric engines
Drivers with customer service experience
Multilingual drivers (for broader rider comfort)
